About Us

In the late 1970’s the U.S. Department of Education established state DeafBlind Projects in every state. These Projects were created to meet the specific needs of students with a combined vision and hearing loss. Each state DeafBlind Project receives grant funding from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). Additionally, Kentucky receives supplemental grant funding through the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and Office for Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). These funds allow our Kentucky DeafBlind Project to offer services at no cost.
